Jess is a wash ashore originally from Buffalo, she grew up with a strong respect and love for nature and the outdoors hiking and camping in her youth and has always took pride in considering herself a tree hugger.  She studied theater and music at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and earned her Bachelors in Fine Arts. She lived in NYC teaching yoga and lived the life of a starving artist before making her way to Cape Cod in 2003 when she was cast in one of her favorite musicals at Cape rep Theatre in Brewster.  That summer she met her husband Justin, a Cape native, and it wasn’t long before the city spit her out and she permanently settled on the Cape.  Jess is still a company actor at Cape Rep and considers its community part of her close family. After having her son Kai in 2005 she went back to school for early education and enjoyed teaching until the birth of her daughter Cora in 2014. Today Jess is putting on the hat of entrepreneur and taking on a cause that is close to her heart - conservation and sustainability of our planet. Climate change and the health of our oceans weigh heavy on her mind so she’s taking action!  May 2018 Jess launched Green Road Refill - a mobile retail store that promotes green living with the major focus on refill in order to reduce our communities “plastic footprint”. She hopes to plant the seed of sustainable living around the Cape by introducing ways people can make small changes in their purchasing power to make a big difference in the health of our planet!
